PURPOSE OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSING

The basis for the processing of personal data is the distribution of information to the users of the pages, the provision and delivery of products and services, the organization of research and campaigns and contests, as well as the proper implementation of advertising and marketing through the WWW pages maintained by the controller. More specifically, personal data is processed:

  • for the establishment, implementation and enforcement of a customer relationship or other contractual relationship
  • for proper identification of the person participating in the competition or other campaign
  • to carry out information, analysis, statistics, maintenance and development activities required by membership, contractual relationship or similar connection
  • for direct advertising, remote sales and other direct marketing as well as opinion and market surveys in the manner and to the extent permitted by law, unless the User has prohibited such collection and storage of his personal data
  • For purposes of use in accordance with the user’s unequivocally given consent.


INFORMATION CONTENT OF THE REGISTER

The User-specific data content contained in the register may vary depending on the type of use by the User. As general information about Users, the following information is entered in the register:

  • name
  • rank or occupation
  • age
  • sexual,
  • mother tongue
  • mailing address
  • telephone number
  • telefax number
  • email address
  • possible ban set by the User regarding the disclosure of information for direct marketing purposes.

In order to enable and secure paid services, customer relationships and measures necessary to conclude a contract, the following information about users can be entered in the register in addition to general information:

  • citizenship
  • social security number or date of birth, customer and user ID or other similar identification information
  • home town
  • Country of residence and tax country
  • possible Y ID
  • Business name, social security number, postal address, phone numbers, fax numbers and web address of the community represented by the user
  • position in the community
  • the employer’s business name, social security number, postal address, telephone numbers, fax numbers and website address
  • the starting date of the customer relationship or other contractual relationship
  • belonging to a special customer program or group
  • interests and other profiling information provided by the User himself.


REGULAR INFORMATION SOURCES

Information about the customer is obtained according to the rules:
  • from the customer himself by phone, accommodation card, internet, e-mail or other similar means, in connection with campaigns, events or competitions
  • by means of cookies or other similar technologies


REGULAR TRANSFER OF DATA AND DATA TRANSFER OUTSIDE THE EU OR THE EUROPEAN ECONOMIC AREA

Data is not regularly transferred or disclosed outside the EU or the European Economic Area.


REGISTRY PROTECTION PRINCIPLES

The following principles are followed in the protection of the register: the use of the register is instructed, the information contained in the register can only be accessed by pre-defined persons in connection with their work tasks, the information is collected in electronic databases, the servers containing it are protected by firewalls, passwords and other up-to-date technical means, the servers containing the information are located in rooms that are locked and where appropriate access control has been arranged, and written agreements have been made with possible external service providers that require confidential processing of data and protection that meets the requirements defined in this section above.

 

RIGHT OF INSPECTION AND PROHIBITION. DATA PROTECTION AUTHORITIES

For the information of users, it is announced that according to § 26 of the Personal Data Act, the User has the right to check what information concerning him has been stored in the register. Requests regarding the exercise of the right of inspection can be submitted to the controller either in writing using the contact information provided in sections 3 and 4 above of this registration statement, or in person at the address mentioned in section 3 above.

Further, for the information of the Users, it is hereby announced that according to Section 30 of the Personal Data Act, the User has the right to prohibit the data controller from processing information about him/her for direct advertising, distance sales and other direct marketing as well as market and opinion research as well as for the personal register and genealogy. 

Users are also informed that the Data Protection Commissioner, as a data protection authority in accordance with the Personal Data Act, provides guidance and advice regarding the processing and monitoring of personal data and supervises the processing of personal data. The data protection commissioner also resolves some matters regarding the implementation of the right to inspect personal data and the correction of data specified in more detail in the law. More information about data protection authorities can be found, for example, on the internet at  www.tietosuoja.fi

 

COOKIES

Cookies are used on the website. A cookie is a small text file sent to the user’s computer and stored there. Cookies do not damage users’ computers or files.

The site uses session-specific cookies. Session-specific cookies remain in memory while the browser is open, but are destroyed when the browser is closed. Only the tracking cookies used to identify new visitors and returning visitors are retained.
