Artist residency
The Arctic Ceramic Centre offers residency services for ceramicists as well as artists from other fields.
ACC’s premises are located next to the premises of Hotel Kirikeskus. Accommodation in the residence is therefore arranged in the hotel’s accommodation facilities – in a room for 2 or 4 people, as needed.
The ACC residencies are available for bookings of 2-4 weeks in April-May and October-November, during which we can accommodate 1-5 residency guests. At other times, we can accommodate 1-3 residency guests as allowed by the hotel booking situation, by agreement. The residency cost is 850 € for 2 weeks for a single room or 1300 € for 4 weeks for a single room, including accommodation as well as the use of workspaces and tools. Use of ovens and materials will be charged separately.
Studio
The high-quality working facilities of the Arctic Ceramic Centre are used by artists-in-residence around the clock. Studio assistant services are also available if needed.
The residency spaces offer views of Lake Kirintöjärvi and Kirintövaara. In these landscapes, you will be inspired by the unique nature of Lapland, regardless of the season.

Accommodation
As a residence guest of the Arctic Ceramic Centre, you will be accommodated in high-quality Wilderness Hotel Kirikeskus premises. Different rooms also have the option of keeping pets or taking your spouse or family with you. From the double rooms, there are unobstructed views of Kirintövaara Hill and Lake Kirintöjärvi.
The hotel’s sauna and guest kitchen facilities are available for the use of residency guests. There is a charging station for electric cars in the yard.

Posio area
Posio is a small municipality between Kuusamo and Rovaniemi, where you find a vivid community and pure Finnish nature.
We collaborate with the shcools at Posio, so you may request also a possibility for your children to study while you stay for artist-in-residency at Arctic Ceramic Center. The nature offers endless possibilities for freetime activities and inspiration. The purest air of the planet has been measured at the National Park of Riisitunturi, which is a day-hike away from ACC and Kirikeskus. National Park is also accessible by car in 30 minutes.
Posio center offers all services such as grocery srores, pharmacy, health services, sports activity facilities, small shops, and Pentik Hill Culture Center.
